Half of Every Pattern Goes Home

We will keep this one short, because the idea is simple.

Half of the revenue from every digital pattern sold here goes to northern Afghanistan, to our own families, and to relief where it is needed most.

Where the designs come from, the money goes back

The patterns we sell are not abstract artwork. They are the work of a real Ersari Turkmen weaving family, whose villages sit along the Amu Darya in the north of Afghanistan. Our family draws the cartoons and weaves them, the work shared across many hands. That knowledge survived wars, displacement and hard winters because each generation refused to let it go.

Northern Afghanistan today is not an easy place to make a living from a loom. By selling the family's designs digitally, we can do two things at once: pay the artists directly for their work, and send half of what comes in back to the community that created it.

What your purchase does

When you buy a pattern, you are:

• Paying the people who drew it: the designers, directly, for their craft.
• Sending support home: half of the revenue goes to families and relief in northern Afghanistan.
• Keeping a tradition alive: every sale is a reason for the next generation to keep drawing and weaving.

That is the whole purpose of what we do: keep an old craft earning for the hands that practice it, and let those same designs do some good back home.
