Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Kalben Rugs collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the store, and we do not sell your personal information.

Who we are

Kalben Rugs is operated by Kalben Rugs LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, run day to day from Türkiye. We are the controller of the personal information described here. For any privacy question, email [email protected].

What we collect

• Contact form: when you message us, we store your name, email, the topic, your message and an optional model code, and we email it to ourselves so we can reply.
• Newsletter: if you subscribe, we keep your email address to send the updates you asked for.
• Orders: to process a purchase and deliver your files we use your email and the order details. Payment is handled securely by our payment provider, and your files are delivered as a digital download.
• Account: if you sign in to save favorites, we use your email to send a sign-in link. There is no password.
• Usage data: analytics that show which patterns are popular, in aggregate, without profiling you. Our default analytics (Plausible) is cookieless. If you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics, which does use cookies.
• Technical logs: standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, kept briefly to keep the site secure and running.

How we use it

We use this information to deliver your purchases, reply to your messages, send updates you opted into, run and secure the site, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

Cookies and analytics

We use two analytics tools. Plausible runs for every visitor by default; it does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites. Google Analytics only runs if you accept it in the cookie banner; until you accept, it stays off. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies to measure how visitors use the site. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer. We set one further cookie, separate from analytics, only to keep you signed in if you have an account. During Google sign-in, two short-lived cookies are used briefly to complete the sign-in and are removed straight after. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking for advertising purposes.

Who we share it with

We rely on a small number of service providers, who process data only as needed to provide their service to us:

• Email (Resend), to send and receive messages.
• Analytics (Plausible), for aggregate, cookieless usage statistics, for every visitor.
• Analytics (Google Analytics), only if you accept it in the cookie banner, to measure site usage.
• Payments: card payments are handled by our payment provider (Polar). The provider handles your card details directly; we do not store full card numbers.
• Hosting, database and file storage, to run the site and deliver your files.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, plus any period the law requires, then delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Your rights and choices

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any newsletter. You may also ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We honor these requests regardless of where you live. If you're signed in, you can also export your data or delete your account yourself, from your account page.

International transfers

We and some of our providers are based in the United States, so your information may be processed in the US and in other countries where our providers operate. We take reasonable steps to protect it wherever it is handled.

Children

The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes
